An arrhythmia, also referred to as an abnormal heart rhythm, is when there is a problem with the heart's rhythm, or it beats irregularly. Sinus arrhythmia is one type of arrhythmia. It is an abnormal heart rhythm that goes by the name of Ventricular Fibrillation which is the leading cause of occurrence of a cardiac arrest. A cardiac arrest is a life-threatening emergency and a victim would require immediate treatment for survival. The only form of appropriate treatment is proper application of the life-saving CPR techniques that comprise chest compressions and rescue breaths. Proper application of the techniques can restore the life of a victim involved in a cardiac emergency.
